Close your eyes and the grand tour images come flooding back... the victors, the vanquished and the unsung heroes who toil in the service of others. If you can't imagine a bride getting married without photographs (and that's just a one-day classic), we can't imagine you riding a grand tour without great photography. It's an integral and unique feature of the Rêve experience.

THE PHOTO CAR IS NEVER FAR AWAY

Michael Robertson and the Rêve photo car will be with you every step of the way to Paris. Whether from high on a hilltop, buried in a field of sunflowers or looking out a hotel window, his cameras will record the best moments of your great adventure.

When it's over he'll tackle an enormous editing task, distilling more than 20,000 images into a two-volume set of hardcover books which is part of your rider package. The two 100-page books are printed on heavyweight stock in an impressive 15" x 11.5" landscape format. After the books are delivered to you in mid October (yes, it takes a while) we'll publish comprehensive web galleries to the Rêve site.

From those galleries you'll be able to purchase individual prints of your favorite images or request up to 10 hi-res digital files be sent to the reproduction service of your choice. In this way you can have several large prints for your home in addition to your books.

The photo car serves another important purpose because it's never more than a few kilometres ahead or behind the group, while our SAG vehicle typically moves up the road 40kms to the next rest stop. The photo car has a first aid kit, floor pump, and a couple of spare wheels, water etc. As the day warms up it does a brisk business in discarded arm warmers and jackets.
